Service Description

This swimming course is supervised by two swimming instructors. Each group consists of a minimum of four children and a maximum of six. Technique Course & Endurance Course for Bronze: Participant Requirements: - Child already has the Seahorse badge - Child can already swim 25 meters without buoyancy aids - Child is not afraid to jump into the water - Child is not afraid of water Course Goals: - Improvement of swimming technique - Improvement of endurance - Fine-tuned breaststroke technique - Backstroke - Distance diving - Head dive - Deep dive - Increased confidence in swimming - Badge award included Theoretical Examination: The theoretical examination covers knowledge of swimming rules Practical Examination: - Head dive from the edge of the pool and 15 minutes of swimming - At least 200 meters must be completed during this time, including: - 150 meters in a prone or supine position using a recognizable swimming style - 50 meters in the other body position (changing body position while swimming in the lane without holding on) - One approximately 2-meter deep dive from the water surface with retrieving an object (e.g., a small diving ring) - a package jump from the starting block or 1-meter diving board Source: www.dlrg.de
